Alex has more or less healed up completely around where the g-tube was removed. All that's left is a bunch of scar tissue, and a little bit of scabbing. At this point, he seems fine to rough house with again, and I have been doing so. Taking a look at his other scars, which have shrunk significantly (well, he's grown, but anyway.) I'm guessing that the scar from this g-tube will be pretty small and more or less unnoticible in not too long.
We're off to see the super bowl this evening with some friends. Go <insert random sports team>! Well, at least go commercials!

Judging from the way things looked when I changed his bandage just now, the hole from the g-tube sitet appears to have mostly closed up already. Obviously, I won't be throwing him up in the air and catching him any time soon, but that's pretty cool to see that he's healing so fast.+ 0 - 0 | § ¶T-Day has arrived!
Alex had his doctor's appointment this morning, and for the first time since he was minutes old, he is tubeless!!! They pulled it out, wrapped him in gauze, and sent us on our way. The doc said that it will most likely close on its own within two weeks, though he will need to do a small procedure to close it if it doesn't. So, we wait. As for Alex, he hasn't slowed down a bit. He came home and started getting into everything as usual. He now has a hold about the diameter of a pencil in his belly, so it has the potential of leaking pretty badly until it closes. It reminds of those cartoons where the character gets shot several times, and when he drinks, water comes out everywhere. So far, it hasn't been too bad though. Perhaps he'll heal quickly as he usually does.
In other news, Alex now has 8 teeth...he sprouted two more this past week. Now he has three on bottom, and five on top. What a big boy he is!
