We've been having some fun outdoors that last couple of days. Yesterday, the neighbor kids were having a party involving water balloons. I came home from work, and hit. Needless to say, I extracted my revenge. Everyone got soaked, including pretty much all of the adults. Alex was the one who managed to get me the wettest, mainly because he had the hose and was merciless.
Today, Kari and I started work on fixing the paint job on the house. When we had insulation blown in, they removed some of the siding to accomplish this. That ended up causing us to have to prep and paint a sizable fraction of the house exterior again. We managed to get one side painted today, and prep a good portion of the rest. After that, we relaxed in the blow-up pool for a bit. The neighbor kids stopped over for a bit, and of course things escalated into a big splash fight. Everyone had a good time, including Jack who got to chill in the pool with me for a bit.

For some reason, when I upgraded the blog software, the old RSS feeds link seemed to stagnate. I needed to resubscribe in order to get it to be up to date. If you don't know what I am talking about, then this does not apply to you.

I just upgraded the blog software. There was a bit of an outage tonight as a result, and may be some glitches to attend to for a bit.

A
website that I tend to visit that posts on a wide variety of subjects has the habit of posting a "
unicorn chaser" after any post that might be deemed disgusting. Generally this consists of some picture of a unicorn, or cute bunny, or kitten, etc. that will cleanse the mental palette of those who follow the blog. I guess that after the last couple of posts about pooping in the bath, this deserves a chaser of sorts. I'm not sure if I can get myself to actually post a
unicorn chaser, but perhaps a lighter post will do, and so I will just gloss over the the last weekend where the whole family fought with a stomach bug.
Jack has been incredibly mobile lately. He's zooming around, incredibly proud with himself that he can follow Kari and I around the house. I left him in the living room and went to go brush Alex's teeth. We were in the bathroom, and *BANG*, the door flies open and hits the wall. On the floor in front of the door is Jack, who has pushed the door open, with a
huge grin on his face. Alex has been enjoying the nice warm weather that we've been getting. He's found ways to get himself incredibly dirty digging in the dirt, and then transferring much of that dirt to our little blow-up pool.
